Nyxek the Resplendent
The dragonborn leader of Nyxek's Claw, Inquisitor of the Red Dome of Heaven, and Commander of Station Desolation. This cleric serves the Dragon Empire and is a steadfast believer in "The Truth and the Fallacy". He is one of the few in the Empire to actually accomplish the "Doctrine of Eight".
He recently encountered the Storm Princess of legend and was bequeathed the eighth Rod of the Red Dome of Heaven as a reward for returning her child to her.
Personal History
Nyxek was born to one of the few dominant dragonborn houses that has managed to maintain its grip on power since long before Darastrix Tolgalen returned to Erathia. He believes unflinchingly in the dictates of the empire and the doctrine of the Truth and the Fallacy, and nothing may sway him from this belief. Along with some of the others of the dragonborn priesthood, Nyxek holds to the Doctrine of Eight: he has taken eight mates, and each has born him eight hatchlings. Of those 64 children, 21 are destined to join the priesthood, 21 will become soldiers, and 21 will give themselves as retainers to the ancient wyrms who rule over Darastrix Tolgalen. The final child will be given to the emperor himself, either as a retainer or a sacrifice.
As an inquisitor, Nyxek believes that his primary duty is to expose those who would turn their backs on the empire and bring them to justice. He uses the psychic powers bestowed upon him by his lineage to aid him in this endeavor and is merciless in pursuit of this purpose. Even a family member would not be immune from his retribution if they strayed from the path.
