The Wealding Calendar

Each Season starts and ends with the equinox or solstice. The middle of the season is when welding rites happen. The Wealding year starts in the fall.   Alban Samved (Autumnal Equinox) transition  

Fómhar (Autumn, the Son’s Season)

* Gailleann (Stormy Weather) mid September - mid October * Samonios (Seed Fall) mid October - mid November ** Samhain & the Wild Hunt celebration "High Autumn" falls around Nov 1 * Dumannios (Darkest Depths) mid November - mid December   Alban Yule (winter solstice) transition  

Geimhreadh (Winter, the Father’s Season)

  * Riuros (Cold-time) mid December - mid January * Eanáir (Used to be Anagantios "stay at home time" before the Dratharcan invasion) mid January - mid February ** Nollaig celebration "High Winter" falls Feb 1 * Feabhra (Used to be Ogronios ("ice time" before the Datharcan invasion) mid February - mid March   Alban Eibol (spring equinox) transition  

Earrach (Spring, the Daughter’s Season)

  * Márta (Used to be Cantios "song time" before the Dratharcan invasion) mid March - mid April: * Aibreán (Used to be Giamonios "shoots show" before the Dratharcan invasion) mid April - mid May ** Imbolc & the Wild Revel celebration "High Spring" falls May 1 * Mai (Used to be Simivisonios "bright time" before the Dratharcan invasion) mid May - mid June:   Alban Litha (Summer Solstice) transition  

Samhradh (Summer, the Mother’s Season)

  * Margadh (Market Time) mid June - mid July * Lúnasa (Sun time ) mid July - mid August ** Beltane celebration "High Summer" falls Aug 1 *Awst (used to be Fómhair "harvest time" before the Dratharcan invasion) mid August - mid September   Plus, there are a handful (4-5 per year) of intercalary days dedicated to the Bastard. They don't fall on regular days - local saoi declare a particular day a Bastard's day, usually in response to some event. The rule of thumb is one day per season. Once in a great while, 2 days per season. This means the calendars don't always line up perfectly from one day to the next. The ritual days (Imbolc, Beltane, Samhain, and Nollaig) are a time for everyone to synchronize though.
