The Temple of Trithereon

Purpose / Function

Sir Alfred Vikken lives in a converted temple to Trithereon that used to be a pyramid. He spends time converting all the people in Arpin to be believers of Trithereon. He has gotten to the point that he would do combat trials to prove Tritherion is worth serving. In recent years, Sir Alfred Vikken has become a Warlord of Arpin and the surrounding oasis.

Alterations

After Chaim Rokkeshod killed the Ancient Mummy Lord Arpin Raesandel he converted the burial chamber into a temple to Trithereon. After the temple settled in Arpin after its last magical move, it was established as a temple and church to Trithereon for all citizens of Arpin that converted. In the past 32 years, citizens would use the temple for resolving legal matters.

Architecture

All through this temple's primary function is for praying to Tritherion. The architecture matches the style of Ancient Arpynians.

History

This once great temple was the resting place of the first Pharaoh of the Arpynian people. Pharaoh Arpin Raesandel was the first to lead his people and settle the great city of Arpyneaketh. After the destruction of Arpyneaketh the Arpynians built a temple shrine for him in the first location of Arpin. The Arpynians also created two other pyramids next to the burial pyramid of Arpin Raesandel. Those two pyramids were to honor a Pharaoh who saved many Arpynians after the fall of Arpyneaketh. The other pyramid honors a Pharaoh that was rulling Arpin during Arpin's. first significant location move. The people of Arpynian had to make the hard decision not to move Arpin Raesandel and the other great leaders to a new location.   Years later, after the first move, the Oasis of Life out of Death kept moving, so the settlement of Arpin had to keep moving, and the pyramid kept getting buried by the sands of the desert. Then, in the year 2528, someone enchanted and sold a bag of beans. A magic summons of a pyramid is a feature of the bag of beans. The enchanter never thought that it would ever get selected in his unique enchantment plans, but boy was he wrong. The Talons not only got that unique enchantment, but they also ended up getting it two other times. The magic in the world somehow anchored onto the pyramid tied to Arpin Raesandel. The first time the pyramid moved, it awoke the sleeping Pharaoh and turned Arpin Raesandel into a mummy lord. Chaim Rokkeshod did quick work to liberate the undead from the material plane. After the liberation of Arpin Raesandel's undead form, Chaim Rokkeshod converted the pyramid into a temple of Tritherion.   The second time the pyramid moved via the enchanted bag of beans was when the Talons were traveling through the Del'Rae Desert. The Talons came to a place in the desert that looked like a structure was plucked out of it. While pretending to plant a bean Siberian of Daarden ended up pulling an extra bean, and it planted and once again summoned the temple. This time the temple returned to the place it came. However, the bandits the Talons keep running into were taking naps and were found inside the temple.   The third and final summoning via a bag of beans happened when the Talons arrived at the settlement of Arpin. While drinking and meeting back up with Chaim Rokkeshod, they explained to him that the temple to Tritherion returned to the desert because of the bag of beans. After hearing this, he grabbed the bag of beans and took one out, and crushed it. The bean started to grow within his hand. In response, he threw it out of the back door of the tavern. Once again, a summon of a pyramid occurred. The temple to Tritherion was now in the location of Arpin. Chaim Rokkeshod then took off to the temple and underwent a ritual to Tritherion and a necrotic sword he received from combat. In the process of cleansing the blade, he summoned an Aasimar by the name of Lyons. The citizens of Arpin realize this temple is a religious sign, and many of them converted to the ways of Tritherion.   As the temple of Tritherion gained more and more people. Chaim Rokkeshod spent time with the citizens and, with the aid of some Grand Master Wizard Council members trying to locate the fabled Warforged Graveyard. When they found the location, they were able to procure many parts of constructs and converted them into war machines to liberate the undead scourge assault on the Kingdom of Saundersfoot. After the battle, Chaim Rokkeshod sent Sir Alfred Vikken to dedicate his time to Tritherion at the new temple in Arpin.   After some time, Sir Alfred Vikken established trade with various members of the Talons and helped bring more law and order to Arpin. First, he was a self-appointed sheriff, but then, after some time, people started to refer him to as Warlord of Arpin. Over the next few years, Sir Alfred Vikken installed the doctrine of Tritherion into Arpynians society. The temple became a place of law and order. The new doctrine required training of distinct followers of Tritherion into the elite Acolytes of Trithereon. Certain Acolytes of Trithereon are the main guard for Sir Alfred Vikken, and they help spread the values of Tritherion.
