Rhineforrel

History

Year 1200 to Abandonment

During these early times in Rhineforrel. It was considered their significant discovery era. One of the most influential Dwarf came out of this settlement. His name is Iken "Cobalt Master" Rhineforrel. He helped make the name of the people of Rhineforrel. Iken "Cobalt Master" Rhineforrel was the first Dwarf to come across Cobalt metal and the quartz stone around it. He discovered the enriched magical properties of both materials. One of the uses of the metal is to turn it into a powered form and create a Cobalt glass called Cobalt Residuum. To the other innate magical properties, the metal had to offer. The quartz stone around the veins of Cobalt produced a magical tuning reagent used to stabilize the construction of massive proportion. Rhineforrel was the leading exporter of all things Cobalt during this time because it is highly abundant in The Indigotion Mountains. This also made Rhineforrel a target for those who became envious of their massive exports. Also, other tensions occurred during this time because belief in the true Dwarven God started to wane. Thus the Dwarves picked up other Gods to worship. Some believe these events lead to King Thorin Rhineforrel's assassination and the disappearance of Iken "Cobalt Master" Rhineforrel. Without their influential leaders, the Dwarven Clans left Rhineforrel and became known as The Nomadic Dwarven Clans.

Years of Abandonment 2400-2428

Since the abandonment, a select group of Cobalt Rangers led by Gerdren Arla would protect the area around the main entrance to Rhineforrel. In these years, they got kicked out of the Teeter's Point outpost due to a Hag cursing some of them to become Yeti. Since then, they would hide in various steam vents along the coast of Loch Ren and try to find a way back into Rhineforrel.

Years since Rediscovery 2528

In 2528, an adventurer from Ginkahm and a descendant of The Nomadic Dwarven Clans decided it was time to find and return to Rhineforrel. This person was Chaim Rokkeshod, a member of the Talons. His goal was to find Rhineforrel and anything about the true Dwarven God. Chaim found Gerdren Arla in a jail cell in Saundersfoot during Kardun's Undead Assualt on Saundersfoot. When doing so, Gerdren Arla was able to help him achieve this goal.   The first few days and years of purging the vermin from Rhineforrel were tricky. At first, with the Talons, they purified the drow from the sacred halls and found bodies of killed innocents from the time of King Thorin Rhineforrel's assassination. This was in a total of almost 800 to 1000 citizens of Rhineforrel that didn't deserve to die. However, Chaim Rokkeshod was not only a skilled adventure. He was also the Cleric of the group. He prayed to Moradin and Tritherion and underwent an intense Soul Kindling that resulted in both god's divine intervention to bring back these war fallen innocent souls.   Since then, Gerdren has served as the second hand of the new King of Rhineforrel, who received a blessing from the true dwarven god Moradin Chaim Rokkeshod. They helped the 800 dwarfs clean up long forgotten homes and started to provide for the Kingdom of Rhineforrel once again. Now 32 years later, after the rediscovery, Cobalt production is beginning again. However, it is a more dangerous task due to all the vermin that have entered the Kingdom of Rhineforrel's territory.
