During the turbulent years that
Thin Bloods and
Caitiff were becoming more common,the
Camarilla decided it would be best to hunt these outcasts down. Some did this over fear that the rise of Thin-Bloods and Caitiff were a sign that Gehenna was upon us, while others (rightly so) saw these outsiders as masquerade breaches waiting to happen.
Prince Lodin's generals in this war were his sheriff,
Balthazar and scourge, Lucita Juavez.
She was good at what she did. Not only was she effective in culling the population of these outcasts, but she was also a woman of science. She prided herself at being one of the foremost experts in the Thin-Blood condition, though few could truly refute her claims. The
Gangrel archaeologist Beckett had a few choice words to say over Lucita's methods and conclusions. Still, she was a respected member of Lodin's court, one that was deemed a necessity.
It was after the War of Chicago that Lucita had to re-prioritize. After Lodin's demise, she had quickly realized that the
Primogen Council would not continue allowing herself and Balthazar to continue their work. She tried to warn him, but the brute simply shrugged her off, saying that the Camarilla is always gonna need killers to do the dirty work. She held onto the title of Scourge, though only in name only. Balthazar was held on a tighter leash, which consequently dried up her line of work.
When
Kevin Jackson was appointed the title of Prince, sweeping reform came over the lower tiers of the Camarilla hierarchy. This included the title of Scourge being stripped from Lucita and being retired. Lucita had long moved on since that point however. Sure, she missed being able to conduct her experiments, but it had been over a decade since she had stopped. Lucita had moved on with her un-life; Balthazar, not so much.
During her time away from the killing, Lucita found faith once again. She began to attend church and even shacked up with Kindred who still believed in the salvation of Christ, despite their dammed state. This made her realize that her humanity had slipped away during all those years of killing; she wished to regain what she once lost. Lucita set up shop in Gary, Indiana, opening up the 'Care For Friends' homeless shelter. That was when Balthazar came knocking on her door once more.
Lucita has since vanished. She was injured and put int torpor before a mysterious Coterie in Gary kidnapped her. Lucita's current whereabouts is unknown.
