Big, Bad Sheriff
Eternal youth is something that many aspire for and fail. Damien knows far too well the curse of eternal youth. He was embraced when he was 14 and has remained that way ever since. He is a boy from the streets, the definition of street urchin. He grew up an orphan in Chicago's Wayward Retreat Orphanage - where it was said the young boy saw pain and torment during his stay. He didn't stay in the orphanage for long, when he was edging into his teenage years Damien moved to the streets. He fell in with a bad crowd, becoming a runner for the local gang, Policy. He also made friends, fellow street urchins who needed each other to survive. Together, the unlikely group started the first iteration of Damien's band Baby Chorus.
Singing in Baby Chorus gave Damien a purpose, bought meaning to his life for the first time. It was also Baby Chorus however that caught the attention of Damien's sire. The boy was cursed with the gift of Kindred un-life. The first few decades of Damien's existence in Kindred society has gone unrecorded - however,what is known is that Damien ran afoul of the Capone gang. In fact he made himself an open enemy of
Prince Lodin's regime. Damien was
Anarch through thick and thin.
For most of Damien's un-life, he was unaware of who his sire was. He was affliated with the
Anarch movement with the wider
Camarilla looked down on Damien - viewing him as a
Caitiff. He lived the first years of un-life like a Caitiff, piercing information about the world of the undead while under constant persecution. Living on the streets and being shocked by the nightly facts of vampirism, Damien was eventually "adopted" by a Malkavian who believed the boy to be his son. During the War of Chicago, his mentor was destroyed, as well as his fellow bandmates, breaking up the band.
Damien has still the appearance of a teenage boy. He tries to overcompensate his small stature with a brash attitude and a pursuit for personal pleasure. Damien is the vocalist in the popular punk band "Baby Chorus".
Eventually, Damien would discover his sire was the Elder,
Critias. Nobody knows why Critias embraced Damien, even Damien himself still doesn't know. Questioning Critias doesn't yield many answers.
In recent nights, Damien has defected fully towards the Camarilla cause. With his lineage known, Damien began to be viewed in high esteem within the Camarilla circles. The true cause for Damien's defection is rumoured to be the coming coming of Gehenna, with Damien not believing that the Anarchs were ill-equipped to combat this threat if it ever were to come to fruition. Kevin Jackson has been courting the youth, keeping him on his side and nurturing a patriarchal relationship - the first that Damien has had since his mentor passed.
His relationship to his sire is not on the best of terms, the two keep their distance when not forced to share a room - lest combat between Childe and Sire would kick off.
