World of Darkness (Wild West)

This is a world of steam and blood. Dark things lurk in the night and it's likely you are one of them. The American west is a hostile, unpredictable and profitable. In constant conflict this amazing expanse of wilderness seems as if an otherworldly force is attempting to fracture the continent.   The closing days of the Mexican American war is in it's closing days. President Polk's dream of a nation from sea to sea almost realized. Pioneers crossing the contested lands that the Native Americans have lived upon for a millennia. The question of slavery is thrown down again and again as territory becomes state. Some questioning the morality and the concept of freedom.   Disease seems to spring up in pockets here and there while religious zealots travel into the wilds trying to find an isolated home where can practice their faith un-harassed. Prepared to defend their land and the only way of life they know.   Lastly there is the Garou and their cousins. The native tribes slow to accept their brothers and sisters from across the ocean. Forced to share their Caerns with the Wyrmcomers who have little regard for their traditions or kinfolk. The tribes from the old world in some cases escaping to the paradise trying to escape the choking cities of Europe and Asia. Where Canites hunt them, Mages siphon spiritual energy from their places of power. The Garou nearing the edge, can they secure a foothold in the west to push back against the Weaver and Wyrm? Or will this hurry the end of life and Gaia herself.
