The Fade

The Fade, called "the Bleaching" by some, is a malady that affects only Gnomes. Usually a disease of old age, it will begin to manifest whenever a gnome's lifestyle begins to shift away from discovery, exploration, and the pursuit of wonder. A gnome that decides it's time to "settle down" is showing the first signs of this disease.
