Wayfinders Sea
To the south of V'renait lies a large sea, peppered with small isles and ship wrecks. Often times, this is known as the "Pirates Last Haul" or "Fools Treasure", as many ships go missing trying to salvage any scraps left behind by old ships. Though most don't come back, those that do are often very wealthy by the end of their haul, living the rest of their days in luxury. Additionally, any profit gained from this sea has no affiliation or claim to anyone, so, all hauls here have no legal binds. For those willing, and brave enough, this is often the quickest route to the continent of Isia, a land known for their many silks and trade goods.
Oddly enough, the cause of the sea's treachery hasn't been discovered yet; the admirals of Barreltrin are stumped, and due to the ongoing war between
V'renait and Hidel, the mages of Throntrit won't assist in the matter either. Though there are many rumors speculating to the cause, such as "A Giant Sea Squid", "Ghosts of Pirates Past", or, the personal favorite of commoners around, "The Genrae - Goddess of the Seas", as V'renait hasn't taken care of their local pirate problem, and perhaps that's providing some discourse to the waters itself, either with POTENTIAL pollution or the vast deaths as of late.
Though this sea has no claim, the Barreltrin Navy has put a stake in it, as it was one of their core trading routes in ages past. It's been said that the Navy are actively looking to use this route to gain an advantage against Hidel, to either look for potential allies or further fund the war. Some members of the The Refulgent Council have noticed this, though, haven't touched the situation yet.
