Jerotus Rosethorn Character in Witch World | World Anvil

Jerotus Rosethorn

Jerotus grew up in the city of Rooksfell. He was the third and youngest child of Florence and Haidin Rosethorn, who ran a popular tea shop in the Market District. He did well at school, particularly in the fields of history and literature, and enjoyed writing. However, he was a restless sort and couldn't seem to settle down into a particular career, never staying in one job for more than a couple of years.   He wasn't a frivolous sort and over the years manged to save up a small sum of money. Though he had visited a few places in the Valley for little holidays, he wanted to see more, he wanted to travel. He booked passage on one of the river barges and set off downriver. Over the next few years Jerotus travelled extensively. He often worked for passage on river craft or lodgings for the night when he was on the road. He never stayed in more than one place for a few weeks though.   While he met many people on his travels, it could also be quite lonely at times, so at these times he wrote in the soft leatherbound journal he had bought for himself as a going away present. He wrote of the people he had met and the places he had seen, and the many wonderful experiences he had had on his travels. When he had filled the journal he sent it back to an old friend in Rooksfell, as he knew she would both enjoy it and keep it safe for him. He sent several journals to Wisteria this way. After two years on the road (or river) he returned home to visit his family and friends, full of stories of his travels. Wisteria was very excited and nervous when he visited her, which immediately sparked his curiosity.
Ok, I know you sent the journals to me for safe keeping...and i did, keep them safe that is. And you never specifically said I wasn't to show them to anyone else. But they were so good I couldn't help showing them to my friend Harine, and well she works over at the publishing house, and she thinks you could probably publish these journals.
