Aquelo

The floating city of Aquelo serves almost exclusively as the nation's capital. Notable features include the Spire, a magical totem which wards against the tides.

Demographics

Members of all races are present in the capital to some degree, although they prefer to keep to themselves when not on official business.

Government

The settlement lies in international water, independent of the law of any one nation. Since the majority of inhabitants are emissaries from other countries, they serves as a jury to any suspicious/harmful actions they see fit. Most tend to fear the wrath of entire nations, so conflict is rare.

Infrastructure

Each nation which wants to have lasting representation has built their own floating abodes. Larger ones can accommodate entire communities, although none are self-sufficient. The settlements are connected to metal rods extending from the Spire to keep them from floating off.
