Arayn is with Aunt Dellie when the party returns, and looks as if he's been injured with his arm bandaged.. He listens intently to their story, "I'm glad you have returned unscathed! That was incredible what you did for this town. Why don't you rest for the night, and escort my caravan home in the morning? I've already taken care of your food and rooms."


 

It is late at night by the time the party returns, and probably want to sleep. The next morning they meet with Arayn and start the journey back to the Jewel for the return trip. 2 hrs into travel back to the Concord Jewel, anyone who rolls a perception check of 15 will notice someone or something moving parallel 100ft away from the party along the low crest of a small hill. If the party keeps moving or does not perceive the NPC, they will be ambushed 5 minutes after the perception check. If they stop to investigate, the bandits attack. Bandit 1 Bandit 2 Bandit 3


 

The party and caravan all enter the Jewel and return shortly to The Radiant Citadel around midday.


 

After the caravan disembarks from the Jewel, Arayn approcahes, "Again, thank you for your professionalism and willingness to assist the people of Promise. I cannot pay you the 200gp I promised upon your undertaking of my contract, as that would not award your actions. Instead, here is 500gp and my gratitude. If you are ever in need of work, please find me. I would gladly hire you anytime!"


  With that, Arayn leaves the party to their own devices. They can stay and shop and spend the night, or take a Concord Jewel back to Wildmount. Characters are now level 4.
