Sanglamore Training Battalion
Overview
The Sanglamore Academy is one of the training centers in the Lyran Commonwealth teaching people to be 'MechWarriors for the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces. Located in the same general region of space as White Reach, a training battalion of cadets are selected to respond to the growing issues on the planet. Led by Kommandant Christina Valdane, they are tasked with two particular goals. First, and foremost, they are to prevent enemy agents from acquiring a foothold on a Lyran planet by all means at their disposal. Secondly, they are to determine the validity of rumors of a cache on the planet and retrieve it if possible.White Reach Operations
Once the battalion arrived on White Reach, a week's worth of reconnaissance brought information about the breadth of the problem. Rather than engage mercenaries who may or may not have a reason to be there, Kommandant Valdane put her efforts into engaging the Fourth Legion of Vega. Their engagement ended without a clear victor, and both sides retreated to separate continents to lick their wounds. The Sanglamore battalion chose a location on the Orenn continent to build 'Yew Firebase', and quickly discovered they had settled between two large mercenary outfits: Hammerfall Company and the Harbingers. After a pair of altercations where scouting groups from the Harbingers engaged Sanglamore forces, they became the primary focus of Kommandant Valdane's attention.In March of 3032, the Harbingers pushed the offensive in a pair of assaults on Yew Firebase. During the first assault, Kommandant Valdane was killed in action and Hauptmann Calhoun stepped into temporary command to hold things together during a ceasefire. The second assault was repelled, with some losses but significant morale gains. However, in the middle of March the arrival of a new unit on White Reach changed matters. Kommandant Emile Harvey of the Twenty-Second Skye Rangers had arrived with some handpicked 'Mechwarriors and other equipment to take command of the training battalion, intending to crush the Harbingers. Following this, the trainees were rolled into the Twenty-Second's command structure underneath Kommandant Harvey.

After the arrival of Kommandant Harvey, the training battalion was officially dissolved and its survivors folded into the Twenty-Second Skye Rangers. When the new battalion failed in their attempts to run off the Harbingers, many individuals chose to part ways entirely while others followed the surviving officers back to the Twenty-Second's base of operations.
