Coral Rebellion
Overview
During the later days of the the White Reach Incident, a number of revolutionaries began stirring up trouble and causing the chaos to spin further out of control. Baroness Elizabeth Wallings used this chaos to her advantage, secretly hiring mercenaries and organizing them into small units to defend her claims. This begins by declaring herself the rightful authority in comparison to a "pathetically ineffectual" planetary government, and attempting to paint herself as the only one capable of restoring order. The official military forces of the Twenty-Second Skye Rangers, being too occupied with their ongoing conflict with the Harbingers, seemed to ignore the claims while the High Senate began issuing contracts to begin dismantling the 'Coral Rebellion'.White Reach Operations
Operations began well ahead of the declaration in late the March of 3032, with Lady Wallings attempting to lure many mercenary groups to her side with promises of payment. A few desperate remnants of other outfits broken by the conflict on White Reach then took the chance, while other backers interested in stirring up chaos sold supplies on short-term credit. When the declaration was made, Lady Wallings had already fled her residence in anticipation of a raid; she was not disappointed as Priam Company mounted an offensive to seize control of the estate and put her under the militia's custody. (Wallings' Gambit)Following this, it became increasingly clear the Lady was receiving outside aid, causing open contracts to be placed with rewards being offered for any information on who was supplying her with weapons. This allowed her to start spinning rhetoric about the government feeling threatened, and attempting to curtail any attempts to step outside of their control. Similarly, the Baroness targeted Priam Company as "enemies of public safety" and used their previous actions last year as evidence in her favor.
Disbandment
After Priam Company smashed the core of their forces, the rebellion quickly broke apart and was contained by the White Reach Militia. Elizabeth Wallings was taken into custody and imprisoned within The Smoky Palace until it could be determined what to do with her.
