White Mountain nature reserve

The territory of the wolves of White Mountain from the upcoming comic Ballad of the Wolf written by Sofia Cardon.   White Mountain nature reserve is a haven for wildlife far as the eye can see. Miles of open planes and mixed forest has been fenced off to create an animal haven free of poachers. A steep mountain range to the north embraces the land creating a natural barrier that no man or beast can cross. The reserve has a fast flowing river running through it which over thousands of years has hollowed out a large gorge. To the west is a large forest and to the east are the open plains as well as a formidable sized lake. The winters are harsh yet the summers, despite being short, are prosperous.   Three wolf packs cohabit this territory and have maintained peace for many years but that is all about to change.
