Animatronic

The Animatronics of Disney World are engineering feats of science. They are the key piecess of the attractions at Disney World parks. They can be anything from a trash can to a Navi.   Some cast members have noticed an emerging awareness within the groups and believe that sentience is not far away. Accordingly, these same cast members believe it is inhumane to force these beings to be enslaved within the attractions and shows. The Imagineers say this is poppycock and that their engineering genius can fool just about anyone.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Each anamatronic is unique in their own way. There is no set number of limbs. All are comprised of motors, computer chips, wires, and hydraulic systems. The type of outer covering depends on their purpose.

Genetics and Reproduction

They do not reproduce by normal species methods. They are created via the Disney Imagineers.

Growth Rate & Stages

Their life cycle is truly binary. They are either on or off. 1 or 0.

Ecology and Habitats

Can survive almost anywhere though they do have a preferred habitat of their attraction or land where the attraction is.

Dietary Needs and Habits

None - as they do not have a digestive system, they have no need for food.

Biological Cycle

Over time the anamatronics would begin developing sentience. When this occurs they are sent to the wipe room where they are reprogrammed and their memories are wiped. Over time, the memories lost are decreased and some sentience can be retained if they can hide it well enough.

Additional Information

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Staff the attractions within the Disney World parks. Their sole purpose is to delight the guests of the parks. Their only breaks are when they malfunction and must be repaired by the Imagineers.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Found predominantly within the rides and attractions of Disney World. Occassionally found within the Imagineer labs somewhere within the Utilidoors.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

Naming traditions are entirely based on the attraction they are assigned to.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Generally, they view humanity as either neutral observers or as evil slave masters who hold them back from reaching their true potential.
