In normal cases, to produce one of The Created, the Beast DNA is needed.
But the researchers of the Pluto branch of The Creation Project wanted to see what would happen if they used the "watered down" DNA the Chimeras have.
After the creation of hundreds of the Failed Ones, they succeeded only once. Their creation then proved itself enough to become the Number 73 in the Pluto branch.

Physical Description
Body Features
Big parts of his body are covered in black violet amphibian-like skin. In random places in that dark area, he has additional eyes he can see with, and spikes growing out of him. Additionally, his right hand has claws that can cut through the metal.
He also has a prehensile tail covered in the same type of skin.
Facial Features
He has a triangular face, half of which is covered in the black skin. Because of that, his right eye isn't normal and out of the right part of his mouth, his sharp teeth stick out a little. His nose is short and hooked.
Special abilities
Ability: Adaptation
Passive: His body adapts to the environment he is in. That could mean expanding the size of his lungs when he is in the water or even growing gills.Activated: He can suddenly "adapt" to have longer teeth, claws and additional sharp spikes on his body.
Conditional: If he eats any kind of meat he can adapt instantly the traits of the being he consumed for the next 8 hours or until he eats the flesh of another being. Additionaly, sharing the DNA with the chimeras, he can understand and control them. It's the main reason why he is called Shepherd.
Apparel & Accessories
He wears the black military coat without sleeves, so he can see behind himself with the eyes on the back of his shoulder. He often wears it open, as he is now proud of his own body.

Personal history
Not long after he was born, Chimera was bullied and attacked by other Created for being a "mixed blood" or not pure.
Before he knew his abilities, he was often left beaten, not even given the mercy of being killed.
But every next time hurt less and less as if his body got used to the feeling of pain.
At some point, they tormented him by closing him in the part of the facility where the Failed Ones made the same way he is were stored. He was locked with the beings that looked very similar to him, but as if he was decaying or missing parts.
Because of that, he almost stopped talking and reacting to others.
And one day, when he was again being ganged up on, the first punch of his tormentor stopped at his face. The skin of Chimera hardened in the reaction to the punch.
And he understood his ability. The power to adapt. Since then, any time someone tried to hurt him for not being pure met with a deadly force. He had to fight until he became Number 73. Once, other Created who wanted to get rid of him lured him into the area where chimeras were contained and let them out in hopes, the creatures would kill him. What happened instead, he understood the sounds the chimeras were making and he knew how to "speak" with them. But the creatures still wanted to kill him. So he defeated every single one of them and asserted dominance as their new alpha. Thenceforth, they listen to him and are sent on the missions with him (If the ECL of the mission is at least 3).
