Glimbrin Oddsocks

Glim is a thief who regularly visits The Three Feathers to steal from the guests. The staff know him and some are willing to accept bribes to assist him in his plans. However, the Innkeeper is not happy with him being around because of the trouble he sometimes causes.   His modus operandi is to evaluate potential victims by posing as a tinker selling magical trinkets and potions. He is a bit of a showman and has bribed (Rebbecca) one of the tavern wenches to assist with his act.   He begins by gaining everyone's attention and then produces a scented silk handkerchief from his top pockets which he flourishes in the air. This creates a powerful and pleasant scent that fills the room, which he claims will make the bearer completely irresistible to women. At this point, Rebbecca the tavern wench will take her queue and approaching Glim swoon before him apparently completely under his spell.   He will then offer to sell a similarly scented handkerchief to as many men/or women who want them for a mere one Karl each. If there are takers then he will go through a number of other irresistible offers such as lucky rabbit's feet, lucky charms wrought in real elven gold by Gnomish craftsmen, and the finest hair ribbons fresh from Tilea.   At some point the Innkeeper will intervene, telling the tavern wench to get back to work and threatening to throw Glim out of the Tavern. It's clear they know each other, but Glim will offer to buy a drink as the price of being allowed to stay and agreeing not to continue to harass the guests.   If the players have shown any interest in Glim he will get a drink and join them at their table for a chat. He is mostly interested in how much money they have and may ask them questions about their reason for being there. He might try and pick a pocket or two if he gets a chance and decides its worth the risk. But it's early in the night yet, so he won't take any risks until he is sure that his mark is worth it, as after he has stolen something he will make a rapid exit from the inn and not return.   If the players are rude or disinterested he will join the Halfling at the other table and apparently begin to win lots of money, supposedly because of the lucky charms he is selling. In fact, this is all part of the act and he and the halfling have a mutually beneficial arrangement to help him sell his charms and gain the halfling more victims for his card games.
