This world has been co-created by the hosts of Worldbuilding for Masochists, a podcast that explores the craft and creativity of SFF worldbuilding. The world is highly-interconnected due to the relatively close proximity of all landmasses; there are no oceans so vast as to present a major barrier to transit. As such, humans have spread to all corners of the globe and generally share a common technological level of knowledge. In the "present", that level is Age of Sail/Flintlock.
