    Back story of the area

    Two week walk to mountains to the north; Dwarves are here, they do not like humans
    Was an ancient forest, but has been cut down

    Deep forest to the west about a week and half away walk
    Elves not liking humans; will escort humans out of the forest.
    Dwarves and elves do not like either
    Dwarves take care of most of the monsters.

    King has non-aggression with Elves and Dwarves

    West undead have starting appearing
    The King in RED; grabbing people, digging up graves
    100 troops lost that went after undead.

    About month ago some undead were seen.
    A group of dwarves came through and killed most of the undead and left without talking or engaging anyone.

    The king was asking for any able-bodied people to assistance with the undead.
    At some point the undead

    Shadakai appeared the follow the Queen
    They dug up some things up and after they left there were no more undead in that area.

    Couple days have passed and the town is unboarding the town.
    Next morning after staying the temple

    People have gathered the dead orcs and goblins; there is a surprise for seeing these in the area especially the goblins; and have been burning the bodies.
    Very odd that the well-dressed goblin was leading group of orcs and goblins.

    Rewards Granted

  • Each person gets 120 exp ---
  • ...aaand all the supplies and loot along the way!

    Missions/Quests Completed

  • Made it to the Red King's Land alive ---

  • Character(s) interacted with

    Grainger Ranger was able to find the trail of the goblin through the woods
    Orcs dropped packs near the edge of the wood line; eleven, human bags with random stuff that orcs would have on their person.
    Hepziba is able to send a raven to see what the building is in the distance.
    Stanish Underfoot is looking Elven pack;
  • Inside scroll tubes on caps with no paper; looks like the tube can be embossed then rolled to print on something; there are 4 of these; pouch with coins 24gps; Human writing and profiles stamped on coin;

  • Iron rations wrapped in Elven leaves with a bite through them;
    There are pieces of leather or hide that is practically tanned, appears to human skin;
    Wrought iron chain 5ft long; not really strong

    Human pack:
    Explorer pack without the rope, tinder box, pitons, metal mirror, flask of oil with crack on the top;
    Folded blanket seems heavy for its size
    Well-made dagger with Elven craftsmanship in sheath;
    Viscous fluid and rotten meat and brains;
    A ring fall out the blanket; heavy duty white facets Metincor Family Teutonic Knights, probably from someone who was royalty, worth 200gp possibly sell illegally to 1200gp

    Human pack:
    Explorer pack with the rope, has everything and 2 wine magnum Elven sealed; not cheap
    Gnomish, Human and Dwarven coins worth about 750gp;
    Bond tome with quill is missing from the tome and is a spell book with 14 pages, divination spells in Celestial.

    Dwarven mining:
    Pack 3 large iron rations not opened;
    Wine skin Elfish smells sweet not poisoned a full gallon;
    Small ash wooden box with a broken latch some craving on the side, astrological small object covered with silk cloth,
    Dais 1 to 64 in Elfish astrolabe all pieces but the eye piece;
    Leather pouch that is waxed that appears to sealed with the wax full of Human and Elfish eyes - 3 pounds.

    --------------
    Continue toward the building; not seeing much game as before, not being stealthy
    Cloaked figure on a stump wearing plate armor (I kept the armor, it's cursed same style of armor to the goblin; 6'2" - 6'3" in height; shot with arrow, Cloaked figure is an undead, very small arrow;
    It is a Death Knight pinned to the stump left to die in the sunlight;
    Plate is very nice from who was wealthy; broach from Brooklyn Dulaque (an area) Cavaliers

    2 to 3 humans with slashes through the armor, flesh and bone; bodies are looted; they may have cavaliers or paladins; many broken arrows against the wall of the building, a bow too strong which caused the broken arrows.
    No bodies inside the building, all valuables removed from all of them.

    Building looks like a boat house about 60' from the water; could accommodate larger boats and smaller boats; though there are no boat here right now; something about 60 feet long was here; the mooring ropes were cut; they left in hurry a lot of beings got off the boat.
    This is a display of wealth and not a practical dock, not protected dock.
    We burn the bodies.

    --------------
    Walking along a well-used path; plant life looks like its dying, possible from the Death Knight.
    About an hour of walking found where a boat was beached and metal footwear prints; went in both directions up and down the river; tracks are very ordered; 3 across, two deep.

    Another 40 minutes of walking; we come upon the marshes; not much life and high tide would be flooded;
    See racks(15 to 16) for drying nets; the nets are partially racked;
    There are logs where boat may have been repaired.

    Water is very cold, but the water starts to get warm;
    <…and the dice rolls begin…>
    Tentacles try to grab Jodea and we continue down the path;
    Ranger takes a shot and misses the squid.

    Jodea flies ahead and sees what might have been a fishing town; Humans, full plate are breaking ground with axes and picks.

    The Cleric approaches, followed by the Bard playing;
    An older person has a fake arm made of what appears to porcelain and has three 'fingers';
    Diggers don't have the proper tools to be digging.
    The area is irritated by the buried totems; the totems are infused with alchemy and dark magic that is being used to control the undead.
    Buried totems are soccer ball size, metallic spheres; glowing and dripping green fluid and a silver fluid flowing into another, like a hour glass with an unknown stones around the base;
    Undead are attracted to the spheres, if the spheres are broken open, everything within a certain area will die.
    The spheres were placed here longer before undead appeared.

    We briefly discussed what to do with the spheres; the person stated they have been depositing the spheres in the ocean.

    --------------
    We followed the group back to their ship; we see a large group of ravens. As we get closer the area was a fortification a long time ago. Elves, Human, Halflings riding scorpions; one from the other group; lots of royalty
    A large trireme/catamaran 400' long 80' across; 16 oars; the boat appear to mostly uses rowing for locomotion.
    The ravens are circling the boat.

    Jodea flies into the swarm of ravens; and speaks with them, asking what is going on;
    Ravens do not trust humans and the 'masters' went into the boat and have not returned.

    Ranger rolls a nat 20 to sneak onto the ship; he is trying to board via a trap door under the ship; the ranger falls.
    Jodea fires eldritch blast and the Shatakai appear; and are with Ebony Guard, Jodea engaging in conversation.

    Ranger fails to get on board and leaves the boat.

    The Shatakai hands Jodea a bucket to feed the ravens with a bucket given to her by the Ebony Guard.

    The groups start to gather in ranks, pages are handing out scrolls and groups start move out when they receive a scroll.
    Shatakai dropped the scroll; the bard grabbed the dropped scroll; there are some type of orders unable to decipher.

    These Halflings are more military, very ordered seem the opposite of what normally are Halflings.

    Speaking someone stating that they are sending people Red King lands to disrupt land; and have been sending adventurers to assist;
    We will ride a boat and be dropped off.
    We can get items from the quarter master; the ship is leaving in the evening.
    We've boarded the ship; we have not seen any nails used to build the ship;
    'Grenda' is our spot on the ship.
    A Candle Keep Human comes to us;
    - Will be given 20 days Elven iron rations;
    - Do NOT eat or drink water once get to the Red King's land.
    - Crude map of location of where we are being dropped; there are ruins marked; avoid the ruins.

    - 4lbs burn sauve;

    - Torches (any number),

    - 1lbs bag of flour,
    - 10 vials if very flammable oil in a wooden box of wood chips.

    Bard talks to one of the other adventuring groups;
    three days after we get there and meet them at a city pointed out on the map; possible place for storage.
    The Bard adds the location to our map.
    The Bard goes to another group and a person states there are snakes in the Bards future and '…beheading it will not work out for you…'.

    Ranger is looking for someone to rob; he has not found anyone yet.

    --------------
    In the morning, the ship set sails; not seeing land yet.
    The crew is wear something that has a 'magical pattern'; only a few of the ship's crew are wearing.

    Will arrive around noon to the Red King's land; suggesting to find a place lock down for the night.
    The ship arrives at a dock and the water is shallow so the ship is not going in too far; all the plants are dead.
