Description

The northern edge is nearly entirely blocked off by a large mountain range. The eastern edge is protected by around a hundred miles of reef that stretch the whole length of the continent. The Western edge is mostly rocky dessert with very little water supply. The mountains that stretch the length of the continent mean that it can go years without rain.   The southern tip of the archipelago is also mountainous, but there are some areas that can be landed upon. There is a small community of Dwarves who have lived there for many years, but they are isolationist and don't communicate with people very often.   The Central mountain range (The Spine) Reaches from the southern tip, to the northern edge of the continent. They reach up to heights that make them impassible to most creatures. The range is volcanic, and different will go through periods of activity and calm over time.   To the East of the The Spine there is a sprawling rainforest that stretches for hundreds of miles. Through the rainforest there are several rivers that feeds the forest.   Further east from this are plains and grassland. This area has herds of dinosaurs that keep the rainforest back.

Inhabitants

There is not much known about the inhabitants of the Lost continent. Reports from recent Expeditions have reported some groups.
  • Kobols living in some of the foothills along The Spine. They appear to be hostile, but don't go too far out from their lairs.
  • Some Halfling tribes have been encountered in the plains to the east, but no large settlements have been discovered. They have not been hostile unless provoked, but don't appear to be interested in talking to outsiders.
  • Dwarves are known to live in some of the southern mountain ranges, but little is known about them.
  • A small community of Giants live in the north eastern mountains. They have been noted to travel down to the plains on occasion, but never in large numbers.
  • There are also unconfirmed sitings of these inhabitants
  • Yuan-ti living in some of the ruins throughout the rainforest. Reports claim that they are overtly hostile to any who stray too near to the ruins. It is rumoured that they are responsible for most of the Adventurers lost in the wilderness.
  • There are reports of Lizardfolk within the swamplands to the south of the continent. As they are so far away, not much is known and only a handful of sightings have been seen.
  • An unknown number of Eladrin have been spotted in the rainforests, but no settlements have been spotted. Reports only over talk of one or two being seen at a time.
  • Notable creatures

  • Dinosaurs roam in the eastern plains of the continent.
