After another spellplague ravaged the countryside, things that were imbued with magic ceased to prosper. Wards dissipated, What's worse is that crops failed and therefore rations had to be doled out. Raiders overran the land taking what they wanted. The government put their trust in the strength of 5 families to police their regions. On the surface, they do, in the shadows, they hide a sprawling criminal network.
