I live in the WPC building. — Ashling
The Warport Center is a large building built with reinforced concrete, steel and glass. It is located in the middle of Warport centrum.
Purpose
The building have several purposes. It has residental apartments, space reserved for large events, grocery stores, shopping malls and more.
In the two levels of basements is a parking garage, at the ground floor and the second floor is a large shopping mall and grocery store, at the third to fifth floor is the Warport city library. The sixth floor is an art gallery. The seventh and eight floor is a hotel. The ninth to the tenth floor contains resturants and food courts. The 11th floor has a gym and several offices and from the 12th floor and up to the 21th floor are residential apartments. The 22th floor is the skyroof, which is reserved for large events.
History
This is one of the oldest buildings in Warport, it will be celebrating it's 100th year in a couple of months. It was the tallest building in the city when it was built. It stayed like that for around 80 years, now several skyscrapers towers above it.
TOURISM
"Building spotters" , People who travel the world collecting pictures of rare and interessting buildings, consider the warport center a must have in any serious collection. The reason for the buildings notoriety is a murder of a famous person that happened in the building at the time of it's opening.
Around 5 years ago one of the building spotters managed to take a selfie of himself hanging out of one of the huge windows on the skyroof. The image went viral online and after that all windows are securely locked.
Another one of the buildings main draws is
the fountain outside the entrance. It's a work of art created by a famous artist. Some also visit the building because of a couple of the famous stores in the shopping mall. Among these are Mikki's, a famous makeup brand, with their largest and original store in one of the shopping malls. Raonde is a large clothing brand with limited clothing items that are only available in this mall.
