Radoslava's Line Settlement in Wasteland Of Ohm | World Anvil

Radoslava's Line

From war outpost to town.

Radoslava Hunt was one of the most prolific figures in Awoken history. She shows up over and over again in my research from the far southern hills of Wheat Fields, to the extreme northern reaches of the Copper Mountains. It's no surprise that a township was named after her. However, how it got the name Radoslava's Line is a tale I'm more than happy to regale.

History

The settlement now rests on the line that dictates the boarder between We of the Sand and Fields Union territory. A chain can be found about two hundred feet from a ruined stone wall to the north of the small town. This is a remnant of a battle long passed, with the rusted steel chain representing the border of territories. Though the original structures are now long gone, the town represents the sight of the final battle held in the war between Fields Union and The We. Where Radoslava Hunt acted as one of the main commanders, holding the stone line before pushing the enemy back over the line. Using this newfound advantage she pushed all the way into the enemy camp, forcing them to surrender.   The town has since gone through some major periods, at first, no one wanted to live at the territory that had been the sight of so much bloodshed. Growing at a snail's pace over the last five hundred years it has existed. However steams that run nearby have made it an attractive farming sight for Plains Tender. A church dedicated to Radoslava Hunt now rests practically in the middle of town. Its now a commonplace for traders to pass through on their way into Fields Union territory.
