Amber Broadleaf Thicket

The Forest of Wonders.

Located on the eastern side of Plenumia, the Amber Broadleaf Thicket is a massive area of nearly untamed wilderness. Secrets hide deep in the large deciduous forest, wonders of the ancient world. Few venture into the forest to find what's within, and even fewer call it home.

History

One of the few places that the legendary Silverbark can be found. The forest is important in the history of the Awoken as one of the earliest tribes that would eventually join Fields Union originated here. Their history is extremely colorful with tales containing meadows of brilliant greenery, a man of black fire guiding them in the way of botany, and children returning home having learned important lessons. It was a place of color and fantasy.
Eventually, when said tribe became a member of Fields Union to provide lumber, and mining to them during their war against We of the Sand their legends took a somewhat darker turn. People began to go missing, and new stories began to arise of strange animalistic cries in the night, ghosts of the past haunting the dreams of those within, and monstrous creatures that stalked travelers. The number of lumber workers and miners steadily began to drop. The war thankfully came to an end before the numbers nearly hit zero. However, some brave souls stayed, founding the few settlements still within the Thicket.
It was then someone discovered an Arc Weapon somewhere deep within the Thicket. A new rush of travelers began to arrive, all seeking the rare and ancient technology possibly hidden within the forest. Leading to the first instance of an Awoken attempting to destroy a Silverbark. However, that man's horrifying fate didn't deter the new adventurers. Who still seek the treasures of the Amber Broadleaf Thicket
