Vyrd is a land of mystery and magic. Modern society has been carved from the usage of industrialized magic, such as illuminating places and heating homes with magic crystals or growing plants and cleaning sewage with druidic powers. Secrets and mysteries plague the world, so adventurers venture to uncover them. Fate is an unshakeable force, though some challenge it, it always has its way in the end. Though a worldwide war ended 57 years ago, its scars and grudges live on. The incomprehensible machinations of dragons, devils, and demons influence the world in their favor. Corruption is rife in the streets of cities, beasts and monsters common in the smaller towns. Chimeras, basilisks, and owlbears are powerful monsters, but the humanoid lust for power and gold may be more monstrous.
