The Vrotonian Empire

Formed in the Year 500 BB with the arrival of Dorgas-Ztol to the city of Ku-Naz, where he defeated the dragon which had come and caused havoc across the kingdom, giving him the right to be the ruler.
The first settlements were in the Dorgas Island Chain (named after the King Dorgas-Ztol). The King had lead an expedition party to the islands where some would settle. Though it took some years, the whole Amazonian Archipelago became filled with settlers, which the natives never liked, and hid from them in the vast rain forests in the islands. The advancements in ship manufacturing and naval travel gave way to the creation of many detailed maps of the Eastern and Southern Coast of the Kingdom, but there were never any explorations to reach the Northernmost part of the continent. The ease of navigation gave way to the ease of commerce between the major cities, which were all near to the sea. Some settlements were also made to the North of Vrotonia, including the Elven mountains and forest, as well as the lands West of the Dortium River. As the years went by, the Empire's progress slowed down and no new settlements were made, so sailors became less and less skilled, and ships were less and less masterfully crafted. And while this happened, the natives of the Amazon Archipelago began to fight against the empire, being much more skilled with the boats than the Vrotonians, they could easily outmaneuver them and easily attack them at night. The Elves also began to stand up to the Vrotonians, setting traps in the forest and attacking them when they crossed through the mountains. On the other side of the Great Mountain Chain, the natives began destroying the bridges that crossed the Dortium as well as burning down the villages of the settlers. All of this became too much for the Vrotonian army, who couldn't fight all of this at once, so it was decided by the King that their settlements would retire and that new borders would be drawn. So it was decided that the Vrotonian would begin just south of the Elvish mountains, and end in the Eastern banks of the Dortium. And only the islands closest to the mainland would remain theirs and the rest would be given to the Amazonians.
The year 184 AB marks the end of the Vrotonian Empire.
