When visiting a hospital or community she dropped the child mortality rate by a staggering amount. Many hospitals now use her methods in delivery.   Crypt saint During a plague of undead this individual took it upon themselves to tend the cemeteries of the region, cutting down the undead and severing the hands and feet of corpses. This practice made the undead far more manageable by the living and is a practice held today by most undertakers.   Planar saint Driven by the desire to see and experience other planes this individual began researching and experimenting with planes. During their journey enemy forces of all shapes and sizes threatened the princess. Even rejecting vast sums of gold, titles and land the Knight swore his allegiance and ultimately gave his life to deliver her untouched.

History

Very little is known about the old gods as much of the world was shifting and coming into shape due to their meddling. Most historical documentation was destroyed in the wars and feuds, thus leaving word of mouth and bardic tales. What's known for certain is the old gods agreed to banish themselves from the material plane and never again lay their hands on the world. This act was simply known as the the God pact or The pact.   Once the gods took their leave they began sending champions who would help sway mortals, define cultures and wage war against one another. The heroes and monsters of this time were sent by the various gods to subtly change the world in their patrons vision. Each was profisised and each fulfilled their duty or slayed by an opposing hero or monster. Unfortunately the gods had to bless mortals from the material plane and encourage them to do the will of the gods. This came to a sudden dramatic stop when 'the last hero' as he is called now decided to use his blessing's to escape the world and live among the gods. The Sunder, a titanic monster that endlessly grows as it consumes both humanoid and animal alike was never confronted by the last hero and is believed to walk the material plane still.   During the period of mourning left by the last hero and the devastation of the Sunder a series of new gods began to appear. These deities are believed to sprout from the belief one puts into an element and/or an emotion or thought. This belief comes from the fact that each of the new gods appears to embody an element, much like an elemental, but focuses their teachings, morals and means of living around a series of emotions and ideals. So much so they may feel like constructs endlessly working to a goal as if to have blinders on and an ever burning will. Mortals prospered and empires began to form. It was clear the new gods loved and appreciated the mortals both civilized and chaotic. Wars would engulf lands vying for the attention of the new gods or in service to a new god. The new gods helped form civilization in their vision and proclaimed laws onto the mortals. Unfortunately not only did the civilized humanoids have their favored gods, but for every god they had the chaotic beasts had their own all of which had opposing thoughts and opinions of what was right. Ultimately it was discovered the new gods were more complex than first imagined. The collapse of the old empire, Eural, showed the gods can be without mercy and their objectives aren't always clear.
