Teima Dekyr

Teima never met her father in her young age. She only knew her mother was a Kalgitian, a pirate who settled down with a Mregian naval officer. The couple were ostricised. Both treated like traitors to their own people. They had a daughter who they named Teima.   Teima grew up to be much like her father, even though she never wanted to. She was determined and competitive, never gave up. She joined the Mregian navy willingly a few years after being modified with mechanical parts. Just like her father she was treated like a monster, and yet this only made her more determined to succeed. She learnt to be strategic and cunning to progress in her chosen profession.   Teima wanted to become a lord one day, An ambition that her father also had in his young age.

Personal history

The Daughter of Pathas Dekyr and Vorich Sathar. Vorich was a navy captain with the task of pirate hunting out in the Kalgitian isles. One pirate was giving him a lot of trouble, he had been chasing her for years. It turned into a flirtatious game of cat and mouse, Vorich often coming tantalisingly close to capturing her, only for her to execute an excellent plan and escape. They had met on several occasions.   One day, after one of the longest chases yet, Vorich finally caught his Prey. She was to be imprisoned and charged, and it was Captain Sathars job to escort her to this end. She escaped capture yet again though, as Vorich Married her aboard his ship, absolving her of past crimes, so long as she didn't recommit them.   There was outrage in the navy, and many high ranking officers swore vengeance. To marry a pirate, and a Kalgitian pirate at that. This was a time when Kalgitian were despised just for being Kalgitian. Despite the Jeers of their colleagues the two settled down, got a house, and had a child named Teima.   Teima was not with her parents for very long though. One night, with Vorich on patrol, a group of men attacked the house, and tried to abduct Pathas and Teima. Pathas defended her child to the death, she bled out on the floor as Teima was carried off.   When Vorich returned later that week he was accused of murder, and taken into custody. He was imprisoned in the Nost Research Facility on Arrowhead island, where he was mutilated over the course of a year in cruel experiments in prosthetics.   Meanwhile, Teima was in the child's ward, where she would spend most of her childhood. She made a group of friends, and for the early years she was put through basic military and combat training. The group made their own fun whenever possible. They were also brainwashed to be patriotic and trustful of the military. This was all in preparation for their graduation from the facility, they were being turned into perfect supersoldiers.   2961 - Eventually, the kids became teenagers, and could receive mechanical limbs in place of their organic ones. A few of them died, including one of Teimas close friends. The rest survived, and were put back to training and testing with their new limbs. Not long after this they were discharged from the facility, as it had been deemed immoral to do these sorts of experiments on children. Teima didn't know what to do, and spent a few weeks wondering the Town of Nost, experiencing the outside world for nearly the first time. She wanted to explore the rest of the world, and gain a high ranking position. So she joined the Navy.   2963 - Teima got straight A's on all the aptitude exams, thanks to her ingrained training and bionic limbs. She was placed on a ship immediately, and quickly rose through the ranks. Though her new comrades were much less friendly than the old ones. They hated her, because she was a cyborg freak, and because she was better than them at most things, especially combat. Teima learned quickly to wear a hard outer shell, and kept succeeding despite the discrimination and bullying that was poured onto her.   2965.1 - Teima is transferred aboard Byron Kalheims' ship quite suddenly. Kalheim was tasked with bringing the traitor, Vorich Sathar, to justice. To this end, Teima is made the Marine Commander on board, most likely it would be her that kills or captures Sathar. Quite early into the mission, Kalheims first mate is killed, and Teima takes his spot, much to the chagrin of the crew, who still don't trust her, seeing as she's the same as the man they are hunting; A cyborg. Over the next few months she gains their trust, makes new friends with a certain Mryzlirian weapons trader, and finally meets her estranged father.   2966 - After being given the slip for the last time, Kalheim and Teima corner Vorich at the same facility that she grew up in. Vorich had rallied a force of angry and vengeful cyborgs that had been mutilated at the facility, and were set upon destroying it, and killing the empress, who commanded the unethical experiments. The facility was half burned down, most of it's research destroyed in the fire, many of the scientists slaughtered in gruesome ways. Teima was horrified, seeing her surrogate parents murdered in such a manner, but upon meeting Vorich in the still burning main hall, she realised he was her real father, the evil bastard she'd been chasing for the past year. In the end, the two fought, and Teima came out the victor. Yet she came out of all this with more questions than answers, did the military give her this task knowing she would end up killing her father? Why did the Empress allow such horrible experiments that caused so many deaths? It was a major turning point in her life of absolute trust in the military.   After completing the mission, Teima, Kalheim and the crew of Panglossian, were given awards, medals, and fame. Teima was promoted to the rank of Captain. She commandeered a modern ship, and had much sway in the navy, but her ambition took a hit, and she was unsure of who she was, something she was so sure about until now. It took a few years, but she regained her confidence. She eventually reached the rank of Lord,
