Setari Hokra

Empress Setari Hokra (a.k.a. The Steel Empress)

Setari was a very unique person. She was the first person to become post human. (Yes technically not human but they look exactly alike so whatever.) she also was the first to live to 140 years! ( Yes. Technically most Myotra are much older than this, but it is generally agreed they aren't human anymore. Myotra are like a manifestation of the afterlife, since you have to die to become one... Anyway)   Setari started off as a rather ambitious young lady. Always competing or fighting with her brother over something.   Since she was the first born she was the heir to the throne, but Teis wanted that throne badly. They dueled, and Setari lost, getting her spine shattered in the process. She lived, but only in a coma.     The next time she opened her eyes they weren't her own. They weren't even human. It had been 15 years, and her brain had been placed in a metallic approximation of her human body, which lay motionless on a table next to her.   Her mother died a few days later. Tears would have filled her eyes if she had the tearducts to supply them. Setari saw what the research used to create her new body had done to people, mutilations, gross metal appendages, the immense suffering it caused, just so she could live.   Setari built and administrated a hospital dedicated to using what knowledge was left from the horrific research to help those it mutilated, or those who had been hurt in war. The knowledge of synthetic bodies was all lost, but plenty of prosthetics research was used for good. Army amputees could regain limbs, the experiment subjects could be healed and given modern prosthesis. Setari named the hospital after Vorich Sathar, the subject who had destroyed the synthetic body research, among other things. Many war veterans initially refused to be treated there, their hatred of cyborgs, especially Vorich, was still hot.   Setari eventually had to take over the throne, outliving her brother, mother, and father. She tried to fix relations with the Mryzlir Teis had been warring with.   One day Setari had to replace her aging and outdated metal body, and so had a new one built. Unfortunately for some reason the transfer warped her personality. She got progressively crueler and had lost her empathy entirely. She dreamt of new ways to wage war using the technology that kept her alive. Brain cages and shells came into being; horrible machines of war that used human brains as the controller.   Convicts and volunteers had their brains removed and placed in brain cages, which kept them alive and acted as an interface for walking war machines. They all suffered the same personality damage as Setari, but she didn't care. They were ruthlessly efficient killing machines that could destroy whole armies.   Along with the personality damage, Setaris' brain accelerated it's aging, bringing about her death, and the bloody civil war that followed.

Apparel & Accessories

Personal history

After awakening from coma

The date is 2966. Setari has just awoken from her 15 year long coma. She is fussed over by doctors in a cold, metallic room. Tokem paskal introduces himself as the mastermind behind her miracle cure. She is thankful at first, but on her way out she sees what else he is the mastermind of. Setari leaves as soon as the doctors give her the all clear. A magnificent vessel awaits her at the Nost city docks, there are people cheering in the streets, with as many people hiding in their houses and peering fearfully out at her. She is curious of all the things that have changed over the past decade and a half, but that would have to wait, her mother is gravely ill. On the journey over to the mainland there is a hold up, cannon fire in the distance, the sailors tell her nothing, but she has heard enough chatter to guess it's somehow her fault.   At the Advar docks, Setari boards a car and is taken through the city to the palace, there are even more celebrations going on here, everyone wants to get a look at Setari and her new metallic body. As she arrived in the palace, she is greeted by a host of lords, along with her brother, the one who put her in a coma in the first place. He didn't say anything, not even a side-ward glance. Setari spent the rest of the week with her mother, catching up on the past 15 years, and getting used to her body. After the week was up, her mother finally passed away. There was a funeral the following week, and crowning ceremony for Teis the week after that.   Setari was in a bad place, after her mothers death, and hearing that the Helldyr research facility had been attacked and destroyed by a group of cyborg terrorist angry at Tokem for mutilating them, she was filled with self hatred. She had nothing but that hatred. She decided to do something about it, by rebuilding the Helldyr facility as a hospital that would help anyone affected by it's past immoral experiments, or people that had lost their limbs to war or accident. She named it after the man that destroyed it; Vorich Sathar. This decision was met with hatred at first, from families affected by Vorichs treachery, and soldiers that had to fight against him. Setari didn't listen, she knew it was the right thing to do.   2968[/b The Sathar Prosthetics Hospital is finally finished, and open for business. Nothing happens for about a week, until slowly more and more cyborgs and amputees start showing up. Setari and her staff are soon swamped. Setari is still learning surgery from one of the doctors. It will be a good many years before she can competently do surgery, but in the mean time she oversees the smooth running of the Hospital, as its' overseer. She soon forgets her troubles and self hatred, and gets on with her newfound purpose.   2986 Setari is in Advar on business when she hears word of the terrorist bombing that killed many people in a town just outside the city, the guards are bringing a boy believed to have been involved in the plot to be judged by Emperor Teis. Setari stops them and negotiates his release into her custody. She tries to find his parents, but fails. She decides to adopt him and raise him as her own son, named Guy.   2991 Teis dies, Setari must now take the throne. She has a lot of damage control to do after her brother haphazardly went into a war he couldn't win.

Advanced combat training, reading and writing, advanced medical training.   Setari also learned various other martial arts styles other than Mregian.

Mental Trauma

After she had her brain transferred the second time she showed a progressive change in personality:   Loss of empathy   Paranoia   Cruelty.   Her ambition also returned stronger than before, causing her to declare war and use horrible contraptions of her own design to crush the Rezakian rebellion.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Over her long time alive, Setari gained a large amount of allies, friends, and enemies.

Close Friends

Guy

Guy was found in the aftermath of an explosion that killed many people, he was an unusual child and may have been thrown in prison under suspicion of causing the explosion, but Setari intervened, adopting him and giving him a home. He grew up with the best schooling, the best housing, and the best combat training, but was treated differently because of his horn and untrusting personality. Eventually he grew up, and became a bodyguard for Setari when she became Empress.

ISO

ISO was the "test run" to make sure Setari's new body would actually work as intended. The culmination of years of cruel research. She had suffered a similar injury to Setari, and even had brain damage, taking many of her memories. ISO would become second in command of the prosthetics hospital, and eventually the new overseer. Setari and ISO were quite good friends, being the only full body cyborgs in existence at the time.

Fiero Soraia

Fiero was in the same school as Guy. Despite bullying him at first, after having his face burned badly, he became Guys' best friend, and joined him in the Royal Guards. He had a crush on Setari, but never had the courage to tell her.
