Myotran Pod

The first Myotran pod was a simple sort of oil lamp, which was attached to a Myotra to keep it warm. The oil had to be changed every few hours to keep it burning.
As time went on, pods got more advanced. A modern Pod uses high capacity batteries to provide electrical energy. They also use translators, microphones and speakers to allow communication with other Myotra and humans. A modern pod uses a vacumn seal to insulate in case of power loss, keeping the myotra warm for hours.

Utility

Pods are used to keep Myotra's alive independent from a host, the Myotra can obtain the fuel necessary to keep it's pod, and by extension itself, running.

Manufacturing

Pods started being produced in factories by a Myotran inventor, who had success selling the first iteration of his invention.

Discovery

A Myotra saw the need for something that could keep himself alive, instead of the crude methods his kind had been using previously. His own idea was crude at first, but once he began selling it to other Myotra he got rich quite quick, and proceeded to improve his design over the centuries.
