Vornioss

Vornioss, the Pillarscape - the last bastion of life in the known universe. Beyond lies the Withersea, the seemingly endless void of demonic corruption that swallowed the stars. Vornioss remains a beacon of hope for all living things, but all is not as it should be in the walled garden inside. The gods have left their world unfinished, and their children run amok in a desperate struggle for survival, against each other, and the ever-looming threat of demonic invasion from beyond.   Now, the world has suffered a terrible calamity of man-made weapons and foul magic, leaving withered metal husks where its greatest mechanical wonders once stood. Empires have risen and fallen under the weight of their greed, the gods' greatest monuments have crumbled to dust, and the golden age is but a distant memory. But, as with all living things, the peoples of Vornioss, scattered and divided though they may be, persevere, and in some cases, prosper.   The world that was once tamed now lies open for a new generation to leave their mark as if it were the first time, the skies that were once ruled by airships beckon the bold to reach even greater heights, and the magical lifeblood of the mysterious Pillarscape that once seemed extinguished, is now teeming with life, excitable and wild. Life in Vornioss is often short, and harsh, but the legends of the future are still begging to be written, and the lost treasures of the old world lie in wait for those brave enough to claim them...
