Swarm brood Clan

The Swarm brood Clan is the smallest Clan of vampires, first formed from a small druid circle that were turned into vampires. This Clan uses their unique connection to vermin to control swarms of bloodsucking insects. These insects retrieve blood for their master and bring it back to the vampire, injecting the blood straight into the vampire. This allows this clan to feed relatively safely; or if the hunger requires, in much larger quantities, killing whole villages in one night in a raid.
The use of these insects are both a blessing and a curse. The close association with the undead energies that make the vampire give these vermin a high chance of carrying disease, specifically Zombie Rot. This means any victim not killed, could be infected and become a plague zombie. 
This high potential to cause plague is a double edged sword for the vampire. One one hand, it tends to cover their tracks by looking like the work of a necromancer, as almost no one knows the existence of the clan. On the other hand, it makes them very high profile, so they don't stay in one place for long.
It is for these reasons the clan is so small. These vampires rarely drain blood personally, and they are very peculiar about who they turn. Firstly they only turn druids into their kind, and when they do, they take painstaking effort to make sure their would be spawn is someone who wouldn't give their existence away, for the knowledge would make them far too easy to track.
Because the clan formed from a druid circle, there is no head of the clan, there are however elders. Due to the secretive nature of the clan, it's members tend to be fairly autonomous, though they still heed the elders when required.
