Ansel
Demographics
Everybody lives in houses of the same style and have similiar wealth. The only different houses is the mayor's house, which comes with the office and is twice the size of the normal houses and slightly fancier decorated. And Owen Cooper and his daughter live in the tavern they own in a side room.
Government
The leader is the mayor who is voted in to rule for two years, the winner of the election gets the mayoral house and implements the laws with his council of three advisors. There are 2% taxes on most items and housing and buisness taxes.
Defences
The town is surrounded by stone walls and has a singular huge gate for access. There are 20 guards who are well armed and trained. 15 with swords, spears, and axes. 5 of the guards have bows and arrows.
Industry & Trade
Most inhabitants sell normal supply items, but the smiths make good money from their selling of their tools which rivals that of dwarven smiths.
Infrastructure
They hvae a large forge where they can make armor, weapons, and tools. Which are their main exports. They have a mine nearby from where they get their materials.
Districts
There are no real districts as the town is quite small. There is the housing area for residents, the merchants camp area, the tavern and the smithy.
Assets
The forge is massive and has 5 smiths who are all guite talented and can make extremyl tough tools, weapons, and armors. There are various small goods stores, a grocery, and a store house for extra resources.
History
The town was esstablished by Johnathan Ansel who had left a nearby settlement in search of land of his own, he found a clearing in which a robed man was growing a tree, the tree grew massive in a short span of time. Johnathan watched as the man - a wizard he speculated - layed a hand on the massive trees trunk and a purple light seeped from his hand into the tree. The wizard left and Johnathan decided to make a settlement here. Nearby he found an untapped mine and he invited friends and family to settle and as word spread the community grew and buildings sprung up as well as the walls to protect from wild animals and bandits who had been roaming the wilderness nearby.
Points of interest
The biggest points of interest are the Waywards Tavern and the smithy.
Tourism
Not too many people visit as tourists but when they do, they come to view the great smithy and sample the Madness in a Bottle drink some at the tavern.
Architecture
It is a medieval style of building, the buildings are mostly uniform and the onyl differences are gardens and interior designs.
Geography
In a forest clearing. Has several wells that reach an underground aquafer.
Natural Resources
Woods from the forest, ores and stone from the mines.
