The earliest known humil civilization, born near the waves of the sea.
"The earliest records of humil civilization in scripture and historical tomes point to the island nation of Rehipeti in what is now called Preii Valu as the first city ever properly organized. Founded by a woman titled 'The Ashen Priestess' in 3200 A.L. (a title that would continue to denote the ruler of the city for many centuries onwards), Rehipeti was a female-dominated society where government was led by powerful matriarchs while heavy labor and food production was generally performed by males. Even the name Rehipeti in ancient Eshain meant 'blessed mother', alluding to Goddess worship in its most primal form. Many of the rulers of Rehipeti government would take upon themselves the titles of their predecessors, abandoning their old names. Many times in scripture, there wouldn't even be mention of an identity change. Needless to say, the many repeated titles and lack of defining dates have made lineages and family histories difficult to track as the surviving records blurs the years and the individuals together.
"The walls of Rehipeti stood strong for over 800 years, enduring many regime changes and inner conflicts, but never succumbing to invasion from barbarian tribes. It took the powerful volcanic eruption of Mt. Lina'ke on the central island in 2400 A.L. that decimated the city and caused a major displacement. Some remained near the sea in Preii Valu in the aftermath, but most followed the last 'Ashen Priestess' north towards the lands that would become Eshain. Scripture reveals that they were led by visions of the Goddess towards a blessed land where conflict and pain would never last. Would that those prophesies had remained forever true."
