Languages. Telepathy. The Brarvanian do not speak but can open a telepathic link with another. They can communicate in any language the recipient of the message knows, and the recipient is allowed to communicate back. However they can’t end the communication if they wish to do so. They do not need to be seen by the Brarvanian either, they can be communicated with as long as they are within range. The range of the telepathy is 120ft.

Anatomy

Brarvanians have 4 arms attached to the front of their hunched bodies. Their legs are thin and they have flat feet. Their faces have no facial features at all. Hunched backs with curved spines explain their posture.

Genetics and Reproduction

Brarvanians reproduce like humans. When a Brarvanian foetus is given birth to they come out in a thin membrane sack that they develop in outside the womb for an extra week.

Growth Rate & Stages

Brarvanians go through all the stages of growth a human does but in a much shorter length of time. It takes only 4 years for a Brarvanian to be a fully fledged adult.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Brarvanians must liquidise all their food before consuming it. Without mouths they rub the liquidated food onto their food and absorb it through their pores, this isn't as long as a process as you'd think only taking an average of 20 minutes.

Social Structure

Brarvanians don’t really see gender, although they understand it biologically it doesn’t have a sociological impact. Women and men are equal since their really isn’t a physical difference and definitely not a mental difference. Intellect is deemed the most useful of traits and therefore smart Brarvanians will often find themselves in higher social positions, due to a Brarvanians lack of emotion they often just choose the most rational of choices when it comes to who to put in charge of things, who to lead operations, etc...

Geographic Origin and Distribution

The Brarvanians are found in the milder regions closer to the equator as this is where they settled in the height of their power. Although a lot of the Brarvanian settlements were razed during the Dawn of Divine Silence.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

It is a mystery how they ‘see’. Some theories are they use thermosensory glands to sense heat much like a snake or that they use innate arcane energy that can’t be sensed to bounce around and off objects much like a bat. But in actuality they see using strong telepathy to relay the images in front of them from the arcane in the air, reading it almost like brail.

Naming Traditions

Brarvanians only have one name, which is their family name. This name is shared by everyone in their family and every ancestor they’ve ever had dating back to the original founders of their family.

Brarvanians always cover their lower body and face. It is very rare for a non-Brarvanian to have seen the lower half or ‘face’ of a Brarvanian.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

Brarvanians favour logic and progression over emotional decisions. Brarvanians are often the voice of reason because of this. Necromancy not seen as a taboo as it is in some cultures, Brarvanians are not one to waste things and therefore often use their dead relatives as manual workers.

History

Brarvanians were the oldest race of the 3 elder races.
They thought against the Elves and Illones and were drove back to the regions near the equator.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Although the Elves and Illones thought against the Brarvanians, no grudges are held as they view grudges as a cloud of judgement and that would get in the way of progress.
