Elf, Wood

The Wood Elves prefer to surround themselves with all manner of plant life. As all elves are, they were peaceful creatures during the rule of Empress Tlaj Tsiki. However, they are the only of the five elven sub-species that remained pacifists once Tlaj's daughter, Faenaj, took the throne after her mother's death.

The rainforest is full of extremely rare medicinal recourses. This puts the Wood Elves in a position where the entire western hemisphere relies on them for their medicine. They are the largest export of medicinal ingredients in the world, making them one of the wealthiest nations in the Tsiki kingdom.

As they are the only culture that has access to these resources, only they know how to correctly forage and harvest them. This puts not only the resources to a very high value but also the labor needed to correctly harvest them, making the Wood Elves admired by all who trade with them.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

All Elves and humans share a common language, as a result of Emperor Hinaj Tsiki's abuse of his telepathic ability.

Common Dress code

Plant-based clothes if necessary, although no clothes are prefered in order to stay in touch with nature.

Art & Architecture

Their cities are built within the large network of trees in the rainforest.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

The most beautiful Wood Elves have fire-red hair, females will have it flow down to the small of their back, males to the shoulder.  Most have bright green eyes, but blue eyes are celebrated and revered.  Their bodies would idealy be pale and slender.

Courtship Ideals

Other Wood Elves are prefered, as with all Elves.  Wood Elf only courtship is not required as long as the Wood Elf does not stray from the path of pacifism. The other Elf is not required to become pacafists (not during the rule of Empress Tlaj Tsiki) but it is prefered.
