Vitasomnium

Vitasomnuim is a world that has always been in conflict with itself. A world of diverse and at times fantastical flora and fauna. It is said by the worlds more intellectual (i.e. those nerds in the Regalian Empire) inhabitants that the fabric of all life is derived from a dream. That someone or something willed the planet into existence. When this was first figured out everyone had a bit of a lie down because it was all a bit much, but after a few minutes everyone started feeling better and decided to continue on with life as usual. Whether or not this being exists anymore or is actively involved in worldly affairs is a matter of great debate between the various religious sects that have been created by the more sapient races of the world. Some people can actually tap into the "fabric" of the dream essence that the world is made of and manipulate it in various ways. They are known as Weavers. Often weavers group together into factions or guilds to attain various ends such as political domination, religious observance, altruism, etc. There are many types of weaving. Some weavers focus on healing, destruction, or even something more subtle like manipulation. One peculiarity about those who possess the ability to weave is that only fully self aware individuals can do it, they are the ones who can recognize the dream. Animals cannot weave, at least not intentionally. If they weave it is on instinct alone. Vitasomnium is composed of varied biomes not unlike earth, but sometimes with twists, like a mountain range that conceals a forest deep within its subterranean cave network or a desert with roaming sand dunes and talking cacti who are actually completely self aware and have a society (they aren't really happy with being called cacti, its like a racial slur to them so don't do it).
