Obvious Fated Hierarchy

Character Class, general character level, and the character's category of destiny are noticeable in universe. NPC classes are renamed Common Classes, and PC Base Classes are renamed Exceptional Classes.

Fated Life Paths

There are 4 different categories for a person’s fate when they are born which are apparent at birth and cannot be changed barring a power far greater than Wish or Miracle. It takes deliberate effort to disguise this aspect of a character, and without being disguised it is as obvious as recognizing someone you know intimately well, which is to say something you can do from across a good size room, or even greater if you have good eyes or ears. A person could be fated to:
  • Commoner: Ability Scores determined by a 0 Point Buy and may only have the Commoner class. This includes Serfs, Freemen, Peons, Slaves, and Peasants, depending on Culture and their social standing within it.
  • Professional: Ability Scores determined by a 5 Point Buy and must only have Common Classes (except the Commoner class). This includes a variety of artisans and other skilled individuals whom have the Expert class, the two spellcasting professions which have their custom Classes specific to each culture, and solders, brigands and guards with the warrior class
  • Wellborn: Ability Scores determined by a 10 Point Buy and must only have Exceptional Classes. Born for greater purposes than their fellows, they find themselves thrust into positions of either of authority or risk and opportunity.
  • Highborn: Ability Scores determined by a 15 Point Buy and must only have Exceptional Classes. Chosen by the capacious hand of Fate either into a demanding position or set against hard circumstance in order to carve one out, and equipped by Fate with the opportunity to rise to either, or both of those tasks. these are those whom rise to rule their lesser fellows.

Character Class and Level

With a DC 10 Insight check you can let you know the Classes and rough Levels of an undisguised being you can see, when appraising a person is from another Culture whose language you don't speak this roll is made with Disadvantage, and for appraising a person from your own Culture the roll is made with Advantage. Levels are divided into five Level blocks which serve to make estimations ofpower rough and work as follows:
  • Apprentice: Levels 1-5
  • Journeyman: Levels 6-10
  • Master: Levels 11-15
  • Grandmaster: Levels 16-20
So an undisguised Gehen Volki 17th Level Dritte 1st Level Ranger, 6th Level Druid 11th Level Barbarian using the 15 point buy could be easily recognized Gehen Volki child at a glance (since the DC is 10 and they have Advantage) as a Highborn Dritte, who is a Master Barbarian. Journeyman Druid, and an Apprentice Ranger.

Hiding Who You Really Are

Attempting to disguise yourself as having a different Fate Path than you were born with, or to appear to be another Class or Level category has the following DC, which must be checked separately. When Classes are being disguised the DC presumes you are hiding all of your existing expertise to create or take on a different identity. Impossible Level combinations, or Impossible Class and Fated Path like be being a Master or Grandmaster of more than one thing, or a Commoner posing as a Wizard without also disgusing their Fated Path, makes your disguise always fail.
