Elemental Nature of the World

The world where Virtateron exists is where four infinitely large Elemental planes crashed into each other. The Elemental Plane of Earth crashed into the Elemental Plane of Air creating the surface of the world. Infinite Plane of Water and the Infinite Plane of Fire splashed across this infinitely large surface with water creating seemingly endless seas of water above and fire making likewise seemingly endless seas fire below the surface. The Positive and Negative Energy Planes shoot alternating current across the infinite world to create day, night, seasons, and promoting growth, healing, growing old, and eventual death. The world can be divided into areas which Greater Elementally charged, Lesser Elementally charged, and Negligible Elementally charged. Non-elemental life finds areas with Negligible to Lesser Elementally charged the most suited for survival.  

Flow of the Elements

As seas, lakes, and rivers have currents, eddies, and gyres, so these Elementally charged zones have ley lines and nexuses, and these cause a flow into and through the medium of the Element which shape geography, causes interaction of elemental forces, and causes manifestation of those Elemental energies.  

Greater Elementally charged Air

Roughly 24 miles above sea level is where Greater Elementally charged Air begins, it is a place without gravity unless you're within 1000ft of Greater Elementally charged Earth, 100ft of Lesser Elementally charged Earth or 10ft of Negligible Elementally charged Earth of at least Gargantuan size. Creatures which are not Elementals associated with Air take increasing more severe Lightning and Thunder attacks from the environment the further they are away from one of the above, which happen each round. within the first interval of the distance beyond the Gravity Zone, or the boundary from Lesser Elementally charged Air it is a +0 attack with 1d4 Lightning, and a +0 attack of 1d4 Thunder damage. The second interval, or after penetrating from the Greater/Lesser Elementally charged Air boundry by 1000ft it increases to a +1 attack of 2d6 Lightning, and a +1 attack of 2d6 Thunder damage. The third interval and beyond, or after penetrating from the Greater/Lesser Elementally charged Air boundary by 2000ft or further it increases to a +2 attack of 4d8 Lightning, and a +2 attack of 4d8 Thunder damage. Objects, Vehicles and Structures within Greater Elementally charged Air are always subject +2 attack of 4d8 Lightning, 4d8 Thunder damage, and only persist for long periods if they have an AC of 23 and/or have a Damage Threshold beyond 32.

Manifestation

Rocks and minerals slow grow back from sites where they area excavated, "stars" are actually large float chunks of adamantine being blasted constantly by lightning and thunder from elementally charged air, the sun and moon are optical illusions caused by positive and negative energy sweeping across an infinitely large plane at a modulating 24 hour frequency, with the season being a sign of the amplitude of that frequency, increasing and decreasing positive and negative energy.
