A world born from betrayal.

  Virem is the result of a trickster god abusing the powers of his brother and two sisters. It has been his own personal playground for ages, but recently he decided to lay back and let his children develop on their own. From their choices came many tales which he enjoyed. On rare occassions, he chooses to spicen things up by personally intervening, which causes some of the biggest problems in the world.   Virem is a torus-shaped world. Its sun rises every day through the hole in the middle, causing the inside to be in eternal sunshine while the outside is in perpetual darkness. Due to the natural borders, topside humans developed very differently from bottomside people. Contact between the different sides is rare, and always cause interesting conflicts.   A lot of things have happened through the thirthy-or-so thousand year history of Virem. Empires rise and fall, titanic beasts ravage the lands, wars erupt, gods clash against each other.
