Known for his cruelty on the battlefield, though his pursuits tend towards the academic. For the purposes of furthering his craft, his family often serves as the jailers in Perdicia controlled territory. Alternatively, they may lay claim to a certain number of prisoners of war. These are often never seen again. It is considered a waste, so only those who would foment rebellion are ever placed under his care. 
It is rumored that he is attempting to find a cure for vampirism, in case he and his kin become to prolific. Lex ec Lux is intended to prevent this, but he distrusts these laws.
