Sureng

The Myth of Sureng is a short one   It was one of the first ports entering Eranor, at the time it thrived, a flourishing port town capable of setting to sea grand ships. It was unaffiliated and considered neutral territory for all those sailing Eranor's waters.   After a lull in foreign trading, the various nations dealing with local concerns, the HMIS Damnation of Xovales set sail for Eranor once more, only to come across a barren city. Her halls were empty, her people gone, with not a trace of struggle nor where they may have gone to. Entire homes lay as they would have with their occupants living there, doors locked, and oftentimes food still resting on the table as if they had just sat to eat.   The Ibralese vessel left immediately and left the island for other coasts, eventually going on to found the city of Sorazos, and it would not be for another twenty years before the island was resettled... at the opposing end of the isle.

Local Myth, though known to most port traders across the world

Variations & Mutation

Rumors that the village fell to evil forces abound   One particular Veringean variation suggested that they were all dragged to hell for consort with Ibralese demons   Another variation suggests that the Ibralese navy killed the populace and covered it up. Ibral has denied both these claims and Urudium Septum, has declared that in speaking to Esmerelda Augustina, Ibral has had no part in the disappearance of Sureng.   A particularly wild speculation declared that it was the mole people, who have laid claim to the island
