Notes: Standard rated ship, single gun deck, 48 gun complement, lower to the water, with a low castle   Carrack (5th Rate)

Notes: Fat and wide, they are slower on average than frigates or corvettes, though tend to carry more manpower than the frigates, having more comparable manning to Corvettes. 20 gun complement, large number of cannonades. Designed for longer range sailing and a greater manpower.   Corvette (4th Rate)

Notes: Single gun deck, 60 gun complement, much longer and less maneuverable ship, but carries many more people than a frigate. Remains relatively low to the water, making it faster than the Carrack, or even the Galleon   Galleon (3rd Rate)

Notes: Slower than a corvette, larger complement, two gun decks, with a total gun complement of 60, though they have larger cargo holds, capable of hauling much more over the distances of sea travel. Commonly used by merchants.   Man o' War (2nd Rate)

Veringean ships will carry a 90 gun complement, while Ibralese ships tend to carry 120 gun complements. Minimal cargo holds for the size of the ship, these are typically used to run down opposition   Ship of the Line (1st Rate)

Notes: Three gun deck, built high and capable of not only raining fire down on most ships, but also devastating broadsides. They tend to be equivalent gun complements to a Man o' War, but have larger cargo holds. They are fatter, but keep pace with many 2nd rate ships, despite the additional heft
