WE and Writing 2020 Plan for Success
Even though I completed my 20K NaNoWriMo goal for 2020, I want to keep writing on my second novel, final editing the first, and tackling WE this year. So it's time prepare for the long haul.
Took most everything off the desk and put it in the drawers
Procured a trashcan and under desk storage and made the little shelves work for me
Added a sticky note to remind me to stand up more often
Ordered a bigger USB hub to beat the cables into submission
Have tea, coffee or a sparkling water + gum at the ready
Have music to fit the scene. With my writing streams this has been a pain on Twitch. But I won't step onto that soap box. I did pick up the Humble Bundle of royalty free music with a license that specifically says you can use it on Twitch.
Write a blurb with the Intro, Outro, and a few points between (Picked up the habit from CoffeeQuills over NaNo.)
Take breaks to do mindless chores and go for walks to rest my brain
The balance between home and work (writing) for me seems to be best when I get my chores and language study done in the morning and write in the afternoon.
Currently, I stream 4 of 5 weekdays in the middle of the afternoon. I usually need at least a few minutes to plan and set up for those, and to chat with the streamer I raid. Thus, I lose writing time before and after. This has to change. I also need to modify the writing sprint length (see below).

Writing/Editing Rates
I've been collecting stats for NaNoWriMo. Continuing to write on my stories will be a challenge. Book 2 (Guardian) is at just over 50K and my goal for it is 90K. And I have a major edit at the beginning of Book 1 (Rise) to do before handing over the manuscript to my editor. Then we will see if we have easy edits or complete re-writes!Writing Schedule

Tracking
I'll keep tracking my word count to push myself to get a better WPH. When I used longer sprints I had better productivity. So instead of 10-15 minute sprints, I'll be using 20-25 minute ones.Writing Support
Usually, my writing issues are attitude related. When I need a pick me up or advice, I can go to my writing friends at:
