The Trans-Vi'Dan Mountain Range

A tall, almost impenetrable barrier that seperates the North and South of Vi'Dan geographically, climatically and culturally. The range extends well towards the coastline in the east, preventing any passage around, but is more navigable towards the west. Many different rivers source from these mountains, some of which flow as far north as Cu'La The Trans-Vi'Dan Mountain range acts as a great divider between the magical north and the technological south, with the magical energies of the Octarchy being unable to flow over its towering peaks. Similarly, a few of the more mad emperors of the Kingdom of the Soul have called crusades to cross the mountains and conquer the 'paganistic heathens' beyond, though no such crusades have ever materialised, let alone attempted (never mind succeeded at) a crossing. The only successful crossing by a large group was so notable that the calendar is divided into Before and After the Great Crossing, that being of the Mu'U people during their flight northward towards the epicentre of Pertinomancy and away from persecution. The snow topped peaks have since prevented any such repeat of this crossing, and it remains one of a kind to this day.
