Nuvalen

The declared capital of Gothul, Nuvalen is the home city of King Senair and one of the old Gothul city-states.
Nuvalen was largely unremarkable until the rise of Heral. While it played some part in Farandisian politics as far as being a semi-prominent city-state, there were no structures or organizations of any significance, and while the military was competent, it was not extraordinary. However, the orcs of Nuvalen were known for their ferocity and battle strategy.
Whether it was by sheer luck or tenacity, the army of Nuvalen made gains against their neighbors and Heral led the charge for a unified Gothul, picking up armies and supporters as she made her way across the Gothul lands. Nuvalen became the epicenter of the new Gothul state but it is a capital that still feels like much a transitioning city. The power-holders of Gothul struggle to spread the proclamations that are made by the monarch as infrastructure is still being built out of the city. As such, it takes some time for information to spread out to all of Gothul.
