Council of Yuun

The leading organization of Jidal-Yuun, the Council of Yuun has it's roots in the original council made up of tribal leaders who split from Hondaria to for Jidal.
The five-member council is no longer made up of five tribal leaders, but instead successors which are picked by the members themselves. Designated as heirs, these successors are picked when a member succeeds another and the heir can be changed at anytime before that member's death. Some heirs have been chosen from a member's family, other times the successor has no ties with the member of the council.
For over 500 years the Council of Yuun has led Jidal, which is where the official name of the country, Jidal-Yuun, comes from. The council itself has a rotating leadership between the 5 members, moving to the next member every two years.
