Types of Spell Casting.
Spellcasting can be shortened into four categories:
Instant spells: Instand spells can be as simple as shooting a fireball from a finger. These spells are quick and simple. While they may still require being called on by memory, they can be quick enough to chip away at an enemy and/or to create a diversion.
Concentration: Concentration spells can be described as making a whip of fire and keeping its form, drawing a form of water from a water source to keep its shape, etc. If it is something that requires a form, it will most likely require concentration. Depending on the position of the castor, they could have an advantage, however, concentration has the ability to break should the castor be hit and disrupted. A castor may have an easier time concentrating of they are hit anywhere but the head or simply have a comrade to rely on keeping them safe until their spell work is done.
Quick Cast: Quick Cast spells are preprepared spells to use on a whim or something like energy stored in an item.
Ritual: A ritual is formed when one or more castors concentrate to create an effect. This can range from your simple hexes to a group effort of creating pillars of Earth.
