Bullfish
The Bullfish is a saltwater fish that can be found alongside the coasts of Dekarth. They are most prominent around the Pinching Gulf, and are one of the many predatory fish that can be found across the ocean surrounding Dekarth.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Bullfish are a fairly large species of fish that are known for the massive beaks making up most of their mouths. Rather than traditional lips; their maw is almost pincer like. It's composed of two massive, bony plates that are designed to shear and crush through prey with ease.
Bullfish are roughly oval shaped and have a body shaped in a way that allows them to propel swiftly through the waters. Bullfish are fairly large; roughly 3~5 feet in length.
Ecology and Habitats
Bullfish thrive in warmer waters, but are specifically adapted to live in areas where crustaceans or other hard-shelled species live. This is because their crunching bite is designed to puncture and grasp hold of a hard shell.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Urchins are among the primary prey for a Bullfish; in particular the Red Urchins that can be found across the coast where they swim. Crabs and octopi also make up a common part of their diet, as their shearing jaws are capable of quickly crunching through shells, and are also very effective at shearing limbs off octopi.
Strictly carnivorous, Bullfish are very high on the food chain and lack natural predators.

Uses, Products & Exploitation
Bullfish are hunted, but require special harpoons or cables due to their beaks being sharp enough to cut through most fishing line. They're considered a delicacy due to their savory and meaty taste. Bullfish have a red meat and also taste very different from your typical fish.
